The performance will also feature FHP dancers Willy Laury, Geneva Jenkins, Yusha Sorzano, Mary Carter, and Eriko Iisako. Haydn’s 59th Symphony, nicknamed “Fire,” serves as a zesty hors d’oeuvre for this sumptuous repast. The Times (U.K.) has described Saariaho’s scintillating cello concerto as “Finnish firewater laced with classy cognac.” Jacques Lacombe crafts a new version of this Beethoven classic, with dancers and actors spinning a modern tale of Prometheus, who stole fire from the gods and gave it to mortals.
